It’s 34 degrees in Lakewood at 7:30pm. The 8 inches of heavy wet snow we received on Monday was just what was needed to extend our trails for another week. Riding in the woods is still very nice, and those trails are standing up very well. However, any areas exposed to the direct angle of the sun will continue to disappear more quickly the farther into March we get. The NST (Grade) is slowly deteriorating in areas that are wooded, but areas in direct sun, it is melting down more quickly. The same applies to the trails along the roads.
The good news is that there is 1 to 3 inches of snow being predicted for tomorrow night. Regardless, the end is growing near, so if you want to get in your last ride, come on up and bring the sunscreen.
